Armistice Day

Misty morning dew poppies

Today is Armistice Day, where those who've died in conflicts are to be remembered.

It's not as if wars are over, or that I'm some sort of war glory nut. It's not even as if I agree with the reasons why people are dying in conflicts. But there have certainly been sacrifices made by millions of people that have allowed me to live in this relatively free democratic society.

I'd be a complete liar if I said that I didn't take my freedom for granted. I do it every day. But today, I will at least give a moment to remember the sacrifices that people have made so that I can have my freedom, and forget about it.

Thanks. I'll never know if I would have been strong enough to do the same for you.
