Those are some mighty fine choices you've got there. I can hear "let's go crazy" in my head right now. ;)

What? No Neil Sedaka? Your namesake? No Anthony Newley?

This list is incomplete, sir, if not woefully lacking.

Sorry to her Mrs Owl is unwell. My best wishes to you both.

Nick - Nobody sucks at air drumming. Besides, I suspect you and I could clear whole dance floors with a synchronised display of the art.

Celti - Pots and pans! LOL You don't know how funny that is... it's a long story. Let's Go Crazy baby!

Mistress Ubermilf - No Neil Diamond either! Oh you're so right... I'll just have to do... Top 10 Drum Alongs Part 2: Blood of Top 10 Drum Alongs!

Look out...!

Richard - Rush, Madonna and Steve Vai have a long relationship with me, that's all I'm saying. And I don't care about the grammar of that sentence. It's too complicated for me to work out right now.

But dude, you have to au fait yourself with Zappa! Get You Are What You Is, Humour Doesn't Belong in Music and Sheikh Yerbouti, and listen to them back to back for about three months. You will be completely au faited! :D

Thanks for the well wishes for Mrs Owl, too. :)

Kris - Hey! Quit hitting me on the noggin! :P

ah, the art of air music. i'm still an adherent of air guitar, steering wheel drums and another-persons'-thigh-bass. that last one can be a bit tricky if you don't have a volunteer.

Handel went for the wrong element. Water music? Pah, wet! We want air music!!! Which is obviously heavy metal. Yes. Urm. Air music is heavy metal.

And also, I can't understand the lack of willing thigh-bass volunteers. The Aztecs didn't stand for that kind of sacrificial reticence, so why the hell should we?!

Hell yeah! We used to get a regular pow wow going beating on whatever made a cool sound. Good times.

Look for the purple banana 'til they put us in the truck. ;)

Haha, but what they don't know is that the purple banana is the key to get back out of the truck. Hahaha. Whoop. Gibber. Eh?

Eewwwww, it's purple? Didn't they tell you not to hold on to it so tightly? You'll cut off circulation that way!

Let the purple banana be!

Hey Baby!!

Madonna....I'm suprised. I never think of her music as being really drummish, but most of her songs do have a nice beat. I can see it...

Since you've seen fit to abandon us, I'm going to fill your comments with senseless drivel.

I cleaned out my garage today. I had a lot of crap in there I don't like or want.

I was going to make roast chicken for dinner but it's still frozen solid. I wonder what we'll have instead? Pizza?

Oh, well. Talk to you later.

ultratoast - I kid you not, in a band I was in long ago called Sasquatch, that moment was the point at which I burst into my drum solo. Also, the bass player mixed up the Born to Be Wild riff with the intro to "Groove is in the Heart"... Oh yes, and it was excellent.
