A little background buzz
Sarah was born and grew up in Greengates, Bradford. Her parents moved to Shipley, where they still live, when she was 10.
Though she is, at least biologically, an only child, her parents were foster carers, so she saw many children come and go from her family home. Some stayed long, others left quickly. Two of them became her adopted sisters, and she is as close to them as any siblings still.
Her son Derry was born in 1993, when Sarah was still young. Seperated from her partner, Derry's dad, she lived at home with her parents. There she stayed until she and I met, and decided to settle down together. We moved into our first home in Thackley, since when we've had two children together, Callum and Evelyn. We married on October 9th 1999 at Windhill Methodist Church.
Sarah began as a hairdresser, but has since trained as a nurse for people with learning disabilities. She works now at a nursing home for adults with learning disabilities.
