Ok I realise I’m hardly ahead of the curve here, but today I’ve moved my blog over to WordPress.
It’s taken a while for a few good reasons. First, my previous blog platform ran on a CMS I’d coded myself, so in many ways I was loath to drop it. Secondly, learning the whole WordPress back-end is a helluva task, and I don’t just mean the admin screens – as a techie I’m chasing the real nitty gritty of the code. Thirdly, I’ve been so screwed up with life it’s been a drag to get myself even nearly productive on any front at all.
Also, fourthly, now I’ve lost all my comments! This is tragic, as now it looks like nobody EVER read this thing. Oh well, I can’t possibly copy them all over, that’d be the work of a madman. Ahahahaaa.
And fifthly, and finally, even since I started the move it’s taken weeks!
So now I’m hoping I can work with and build on this thing, to do some writing sure, and also some developing – in every sense.
In every sense? Are you growing breasts?
Well *glances down* …yes. I like to think it’s just one more way I’m rounding my character.
